Description
Confluence 2026 - Chapter II: Every Rupee Counts is India's national summit on Total Rewards, themed "Aligning Rewards to Business Outcomes". Organised by HiveStrat HR Consulting LLP, it takes place on Friday, 11 December 2026 in New Delhi as a dialogue-first day for CXOs, CFOs, CHROs and Total Rewards leaders.
Why now: Reward spend is under the CFO's microscope. Under the Labour Codes, in force since 21 November 2025, at least 50% of pay must now count as wages, which raises PF, gratuity and bonus costs. Aon projects an 11.5% medical cost trend for India in 2026, and Deloitte India's 2025 survey finds that roughly 60% of non-CEO CXO pay is fixed. Confluence puts the CHROs who design this spend and the CFOs who approve it in one room to decide what every rupee should buy.
A format built for debate, not passive listening: No stage segment runs more than 25 minutes without the room voting, asking or challenging. Expect The Fishbowl (an empty chair any delegate can take to challenge the panel), The Live Debate (the room votes before and after), The War Room (mixed tables defend or cut a real reward budget line) and The Clinics (four parallel working rooms, each producing one usable tool).
Programme highlights: Keynote 1 - Pay for Performance Is Dead. Pay for Outcomes. Panel 1 - The Labour Code Recost: Who Paid for the 50% Rule? Keynote 2 - One Size Pays None: Designing Rewards by Role Criticality, Not Grade. Panel 2 - Flexi Benefits in India: Choice or Chaos? Problem-solving clinics cover Variable Pay That Changes Behaviour, ESOPs and Long-Term Incentives, Benefits and Perks ROI, and Pay Transparency. The day also includes Speed Benchmarking, peer-circle working lunch, a Boardroom Circle and open Shadow Room, and The Verdict, where the day's live-poll findings are revealed as the Confluence Insights Report.
Who will be in the room: The organisers are targeting 200+ reward decision-makers from across India - CFOs and Finance Heads, CHROs and HR Leaders, HR Business Partners, Compensation and Benefits Heads, Total Rewards Leaders, Payroll Leaders, GCC and commercial leaders, and Employee Wellbeing leads - from Rs 200 Cr to Rs 5,000 Cr+ revenue enterprises, GCCs and PE-backed firms. HR and Finance sit together at every table.
Part of the Confluence series: Chapter I - Performance Intelligence (Ahmedabad, 14 August 2026, Hyatt Ahmedabad) drew 100+ senior HR and business leaders. Chapter II takes the series national, and delegates take away the Confluence Insights Report and the Reward Playbook 2027.
