Payroll Administrator: Duties and Responsibilities
- Process regular payroll runs accurately and within agreed deadlines
- Validate payroll input data including timesheets, absence, bonuses and deductions
- Calculate statutory payments such as statutory sick pay and statutory maternity pay in line with legislation
- Prepare and issue payslips and ensure payroll records are maintained securely
- Reconcile payroll reports with general ledger and produce payroll reconciliations
- Manage payroll queries from employees and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Maintain records for starters, leavers and contractual changes and apply correct pay codes
- Submit accurate payroll returns and reports for tax and National Insurance in accordance with HMRC requirements
- Administer pension contributions and liaise with pension providers for auto enrolment and contribution queries
- Support month end and year end payroll processes and audit activities
- Implement pay-related statutory changes and ensure payroll compliance with legislation

Payroll Administrator: Requirements and Qualifications
- Relevant payroll experience, typically 2 years or more in a payroll role
