Treasurer: Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement treasury strategy and policies aligned with organisational objectives and risk appetite
- Produce and maintain short and medium term cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity
- Manage bank relationships, negotiate banking terms and monitor banking fees and services
- Oversee short term investment of surplus funds in accordance with policy and risk parameters
- Manage debt portfolios, monitor covenants and arrange new financing when required
- Identify and manage financial risks including interest rate, currency and counterparty risk
- Prepare regular treasury reports for senior management and the board, highlighting key exposures and recommendations
- Design and maintain internal controls over cash, payments and reconciliation processes

Treasurer: Requirements and Qualifications
